Aging and Caregiving Education and Information

Supporting healthy aging across Central Texas is at the core of AGE of Central Texas’s mission. We are committed to providing education that helps our community navigate the challenges of aging and caregiving. AGE’s programs for older adults are designed to empower them to age in place successfully, with practical knowledge on managing health, safety, and independence in their own homes. To ensure that our educational offerings are accessible to older adults and family caregivers, AGE provides several educational offerings at various locations (both virtual and in person) and at flexible times.

Interactive Webinars

Interactive Webinars provide an interactive classroom setting where attendees can engage with staff experts, ask questions, and gain practical knowledge on aging and caregiving topics. Designed to foster discussion and peer support, these sessions ensure participants leave with the key takeaways they need to feel confident in their aging and caregiving journeys.

Seminars

Our seminars provide focused, digestible learning opportunities designed to help caregivers and older adults navigate key topics with confidence.  Led by experts, each seminar delivers practical insights and actionable takeaways in an accessible and engaging format. Our team of experts offers engaging presentations on a variety of aging and caregiving topics tailored for community groups, workplaces, and organizations. From Caregiving 101 to Falls Prevention and more, these informative sessions provide practical knowledge and valuable insights to help individuals navigate the challenges of aging and caregiving with confidence. Consultation and Resource Navigation

Navigating the challenges of aging and caregiving can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Our Resource Navigation service offers 1:1 consultations with knowledgeable staff who provide personalized guidance, connect you with vetted resources, and offer compassionate support. Whether you need expert advice, referrals, or simply a listening ear, we’re here to help you find the best solutions for your unique situation.

Conferences

AGE conferences bring together expert speakers, panel discussions, and industry professionals to provide caregivers with valuable education, advice, and resources. Held five times a year across Central Texas, these events cover essential topics like dementia care, medication management, and legal and financial planning, offering practical insights from trusted experts. Attendees also have the opportunity to engage 1:1 with professionals, explore community resources, and connect with others facing similar caregiving challenges.
