Helping older adults and family caregivers THRIVE!

In-Person and Virtually on Saturday, February 26th

Riverbend Church is once again partnering with AGE of Central Texas for the 9th annual “GPS: Navigation for Caregivers” Conference on February 26th.  The free conference will be presented in-person at Riverbend Church (4214 N Capital of Texas Hwy, Austin, TX 78746) and simultaneously online via Zoom, from 9:00 am to 3:00 p.m.

This year’s conference will feature dementia expert Dr. Tam Cummings, discussing the different types of dementia, and how caregivers can navigate the difficulties of caring for a loved one who is living with dementia. Dr. Tam has worked in dementia communities for more than two decades, giving her firsthand experience with persons with dementia, their struggles and behaviors, and the frustration families and professionals face daily.  Armed with humor and straight forward honest talk, Dr. Tam uses decades of professional experience, personal stories, and compassion to educate caregivers.
