The AGE Thrive Social & Wellness Centers provide exceptional daytime care for older adults with physical or cognitive needs. Your loved one can enjoy an active, social day while receiving the care and support he or she needs in a vibrant community setting.
How We Can Help Your Family
Expert Care: a full-time nurse to assist with medication management and health monitoring.
All-Inclusive: nutritious meals, transportation options (depending on location and availability), and engaging activities such as art, music, brain boosters, and exercise.
Locations: Williamson County, Central Austin, and South Austin coming soon! Any clients who start at Central Austin will transfer to South Austin.
Hours and Scheduling: Open Monday through Friday 7a-5:30p. You determine a regular schedule– Members do not need to come every day for all of those hours—we recommend members come at least twice a week for 6 hours a day to help establish a routine, but we can work with you on what you need!
Flexible Payment options: Medicaid, veteran’s benefits, long-term care insurance, or private pay ($100/day; discounts available for 3+ days of attendance per week). Private payrate offered at a sliding scale.

Program Cost
AGE of Central Texas believes in providing our services to everyone in the community. Private pay rates are offered on a sliding scale to provide the most affordable daytime care option available in Central Texas. Attendance 1 or 2 days a week costs $100 per day. Attendance 3 or more days a week, costs $75/day.
Payment Options
AGE accepts Medicaid, veteran’s benefits, long-term care insurance, or private pay as payment. Private pay rates are offered on a sliding scale and can be paid via check, credit card, or cash.
Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) is a supervised daytime program that provides health, therapeutic, and social services for older adults and individuals with disabilities, helping them maintain independence while supporting caregivers. Research shows that for participants, adult day health programs may:
- Enhanced Socialization: Provides a structured environment for older adults to engage in activities and build friendships, reducing loneliness and isolation.
- Health Monitoring and Support: Offers access to medical care, therapy, and assistance with personal needs, ensuring regular health oversight.
- Respite for Caregivers: Allows family caregivers to take a break, reducing stress and preventing caregiver burnout.
- Cognitive and Physical Stimulation: Engages participants in activities that support cognitive health, mobility, and overall well-being.
- Safe and Supportive Environment: Ensures a secure setting for older adults, especially those with dementia or special needs, fostering independence within a structured framework.
What does it mean to be State licensed?
AGE Thrive Centers are licensed through the State of Texas which means each Thrive Center meets the highest standards for health, safety, and care in the State. This is verified through regular State inspections. State licensing requirements include:
- Qualifications and training for staff
- Emergency preparedness
- Food offered to each member and monitored through a federal program to ensure high nutritional value
- Registered dietician oversight
- Registered nurse oversight
