Program Associate - Memory Connections

AGE of Central Texas is looking for a Program Associate for our Memory Connections early memory loss support program in Austin, TX. The position will be hybrid remote/in office so candidate must live locally.  

AGE of Central Texas is a regional nonprofit whose mission is to help older adults and their caregivers thrive as they navigate the realities and opportunities of aging and caregiving. 

 

Memory Connections is a hybrid community of older adults who empower each other to live well with early memory loss through programming designed to promote cognitive, social & emotional wellbeing. Activities include Cognitive Stimulation Therapy, daily enrichment activities, support groups, brain health education, and in-person meetups.

 

We are looking for an engaging and outgoing group leader to be responsible for day to day operations of our program. The Program Associate serves as a point of contact for our older adults and their families, facilitates fun and inclusive activities online and in person, creates activity schedules, collaborates with community partners, and monitors program effectiveness and fidelity.

Candidates must meet the following required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted; 

  • One year experience with older adults or individuals who have dementia or challenges with memory or cognition preferred; and 

  • One year experience planning and implementing activities with groups preferred.
