AGE staff are our forgotten heroes who are deserving of our recognition and gratitude.

Remarkably, my father never gave up and persevered to overcome his unexpected injuries. He kept his faith, hope, and strength throughout his recovery period while supported by his family, friends, ministers, healthcare workers, and AGE staff. Our father-daughter relationship is transforming day-by-day because of changing roles. I now share the caregiver’s role with my brother, Albert. We have developed a cohesive partnership to assist our Dad during his transition. It is our love and commitment that keeps us strong as we take on this journey together. Amazingly, Dad has recovered from his injuries and is now enjoying his life with his family, friends at AGE, and pets.

In honor of Father’s Day, I wish to share what I most admire about my Dad. He is a man of faith and hope with proven courage for a better future whether for himself or others. Time and time again, Dad perseveres to overcome unexpected obstacles and tackle challenges head on. Dad is a social butterfly who brings smiles and laughter in the room.
